Just back from an incredible trip to San Francisco this weekend. From driving down from Portland with my sister, to working on a badass music video with the incredible Hillary Andujar, to finally tying up some long overdue loose ends, I find myself thinking “Did this weekend even happen?” Here’s the face to match the feeling.

What started as a camp drag look quickly morphed into Happy Halloween ala Miyazaki. The paint has a mind of its own. Here’s what I came up with:
This weekend I attended a Mermaid and Unicorn themed wedding in Seattle and followed up with a visit to Chihuly’s Garden and Glass. Feeling very under-the-sea indeed. I created this look using my new Make Up Forever Flash Case and, of course, my Snazaroo palette (currently %50 on Amazon, GET IT. BEST. STUFF. EVER.)

I did it. I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my camera and lighting set up. Armed with the deposit from my last apartment in San Francisco, as well as birthday money, a week ago I became the proud owner of a Canon 70D and an 18″ Diva Ring Light. Rediscovering the rich colors and gorgeous patterns of Pendleton Woolen Mills, a company best known for it’s iconic wool blankets designed by the Native American tribes of Northeast Oregon and the Southwestern US. This face is based on the Glacier National Park blanket which has been in my family for longer than I can remember.
